Abud upped at Telemundo

Telemundo Media has marketed longtime company professional Manuel Abud to prexy from the Telemundo Station Group. Abud, who had been most lately prexy and gm of Telemundo Dallas KXTX, will oversee 15 Telemundo-possessed local stations within the U.S. and Puerto Rico. He replaces Ronald Gordon who had been named chairman at ZGS Communicaitons, which is the owner of and works the biggest number of Telemundo affiliate marketers. Gordon was prexy and Boss of ZGS before joining Telemundo last year. This Year, Abud combined his role at Telemundo Dallas for everyone as interim gm of indie TV station KWHY in La. Just before that, he was Vice president and gm of Telemundo LA, prexy of Telemundo Cable and released sister funnel mun2. Abud seemed to be prexy of CBS Telenoticias, that they relaunched as Telemundo Intl. Before Telemundo, Abud was chief financial officer of Mexico's media company Grupo Medcom, director of investor relations at Grupo Televisa and general treasurer of Grupo ICA.
